EEA - CRISIS

Crisis is a component of LIHEAP.  This federal grant assist households that are facing emergency shut off/termination of utilities, no oil, and broken furnaces. This program also operates November- March (following year.)

Crisis Grants

Additional money may be available if you have an emergency situation and are in jeopardy of losing your heat.

Emergency situations include:

  • Broken heating equipment or leaking lines that must be fixed or replaced
  • Lack of fuel
  • Termination of utility service
  • Danger of being without fuel or of having utility service terminated

Following documentation for all household members need for Crisis:

  • Social Security Cards for all household members
  • Income for 30 days prior to application
  • Shut off / termination notice (gas) and or oil receipt with in 30 days
  • Electric bill (heating bill must be accompany utility)
